It is located on the bottom of the pool in the deepest part so the entire surface slants toward them.  Main drains must be protected by an approved cover. . Most of the dirt and debris that sinks exits through it. In fact, the skimmer and your pool’s main drain work together to keep your pool water circulating, healthy, and clean.
