The treble hooks can be embedded near the bait’s tail or allowed to swing freely. Kingfish have strong teeth, but not so sharp that they can slice through fine wire. They also have excellent eyesight and can be aware of some large wires. For this reason, it’s recommended to use wire leaders made with high-quality materials.
